Right Wing Watch ðŸ‘€ A Trio of Anti-LGBTQ Bigots Long for the Days When Gays Were Beaten Up and Forced Into the Closet.

Kyle Mantyla

Vincent James, an unapologetic racist, antisemite, misogynist, conspiracy theorist, and fascist who currently serves as the treasurer of white nationalist Nick Fuentes’ America First organization, appeared on the bigoted Christian nationalist program “CrossTalk” last night, which is hosted by racist conspiracy theorists Edward Szall and Lauren Witzke.

During the course of the program, the three complained that gay people are infiltrating the conservative movement as part of an effort to weaken and ultimately dismantle it.

The discussion prompted Szall, who is virulently anti-gay, to assert that gay people having children should not be tolerated, for the good of the children.

“There used to be a day and age,” Szall said, “[when] it was just bad for the kid. When you think about the kid in the situation; we beat up the kid at school who had two dads. And we weren’t jerks for that, that’s just what we did.”

James, who has openly declared that he would love to live in a society where gay people are thrown off of buildings and have their children kidnapped by government task forces . . .

Bigots Long For The Days When Gays Were Beaten Up

Right Wing Watch ðŸ‘€ Earlier this year, far-right anti-LGBTQ pastor Jack Hibbs announced that he was launching a campaign to pressure local school boards  . . .

. . . to adopt policies requiring schools to inform parents if their children identify at school in any way other than as the sex listed on their birth certificate.

A bill imposing this requirement on all schools in the state had been introduced in the California legislature, but when it stalled, members of the Chino Valley Unified School District school board enacted a local policy based on the bill’s language.

It is no coincidence that the Chino Valley school board was among the first to enact this policy, given that the president and several members are congregants at Hibbs’ Calvary Chapel Chino Hills church, as Hibbs confirmed when he appeared on his close friend Charlie Kirk’s program on Wednesday.

“As soon as somebody sent me something that said, ‘Chino Valley school board fights for parents, rights,’ I said, ‘I know Jack Hibbs is involved,'” Kirk said. “I have now learned that my suspicion was correct. All of the Chino Valley USD school board members whose voted for parental disclosure go to your church.”

Only Sky A California Anti-LGBT Bill Fails (for now)

Sikivu Hutchinson
13-April-2023
This week, California Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, the head of the Assembly’s Education Committee, refused to schedule a hearing for AB1314, a bill that would have required school officials to notify parents when a child identified as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth. Muratsuchi slammed the bill for being “bad policy” and potentially harmful to the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ students.

Days before, the Chino Valley Unified school board in San Bernardino County (which has no legislative say over the bill) voted to approve the bill on a 4-1 vote.

The bill, which was introduced in February by conservative Republican California Assembly members Bill Essayli and James Gallagher, would have revised student privacy protections guaranteed under the California Education Code, allowing adults on school campuses to police and potentially surveil youth. Such a precedent would fundamentally compromise the few safe spaces that exist on California campuses for queer youth. Nationwide, lack of family acceptance is a leading driver of homelessness among trans and queer youth. The implications of AB1314 were quickly seized on by LGBTQ-affirming activists and policymakers.

Right Wing Watch ðŸ‘€ Religious-Right Figure Steve Turley Celebrates Uganda Legislation Criminalizing Homosexuality.

Peter Montgomery

Steve Turley, a religious-right media personality with more than a million YouTube subscribers, is celebrating the passage of extremely harsh new anti-LGBTQ legislation in Uganda that makes it a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison to simply identify as a gay or transgender person. The legislation is part of a broader crackdown on freedom and civil society in that country.

Like other right-wing political figures who posture as lovers of freedom while supporting freedom-crushing regimes around the world, Turley is a huge fan of Russia’s strongman Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, even celebrating the latter’s moves to consolidate power by “crushing” liberalism and threatening to jail journalists.

“Uganda BANS LGBT!!!” screamed the headline at Turley’s online newsletter Monday, celebrating the draconian law as evidence that “a new conservative age has already arrived!”

In the accompanying YouTube video, Turley mocked the United States’ condemnation of the Ugandan legislation and excitedly recounted anti-LGBTQ actions taken by governments around the world, including those in Russia, Hungary, China, and Kenya.

Celebrating Uganda Criminalizing Homosexuality

Anthony McIntyre  On occasion in previous years I have turned up at the Patrick's Day parade through Drogheda, but never walked in it.

When the children were much younger it was a day out for them to enjoy as we stood behind the safety barriers and enjoyed the pagentry.  In later years I felt I had discovered what drove the snakes out of Ireland – the weather on Patrick’s day rather than the great man himself. There seemed better ways to spend the holiday than getting soaked or chilled.

When I lived in Belfast I never attended a parade there. They never interested me in the way that Easter Sunday republican parades once did. That was until last Friday.

I don't actually set out to annoy the Mr Bean Of Irish Fascism. It seems I do it without even trying. He allows me to live rent free in his hollow head. And ungrateful globalist that I am, I never as much as notice my Irish host.

He, or the type of hatred he promotes, obviously played some part in my decision to take part in the parade. On learning that far right hate groups were directing their venom towards the gay community by intimidating librarians I along with my wife agreed that we would walk with Drogheda Pride in this year's parade.

Our decision was firmed up by elements of the far right turning up at a book event for young gay people in Drogheda's local library, then to later go on social media to complain about the the type of books the library was making available. While there is nothing to indicate that the person in question sought to intimidate or be disruptive when at the library, it seems only a matter of time before what happened in Cork occurs in libraries across the country:

Opposition to certain books aimed at young members of the LGBTQ+ community has taken the form of everything from verbal abuse to disturbing behaviour. In recent days an individual was even observed ripping up a copy of Juno Dawson’s book, This Book is Gay in protest.

This is not an isolated Irish phenomenon. For all its professed hatred of globalism the Irish far right is not averse to joining in a global campaign to advance its hate agenda.

As the Atlantic reported a year ago:

Book banning is back. Texas State Representative Matt Krause recently put more than 800 books on a watch list, many of them dealing with race and LGBTQ issues.

So, with that in mind, and to the consternation of Mr Bean, in drizzle we set off to make our way through the streets of Drogheda to the sounds of the samba. While it might have infuriated the far right, it was wonderful to see the composition of people lining the streets Рthere was plenty of colour both in terms of skin and d̩cor. Around my neck was a rainbow garland, while in tandem with an Irish mother who too had turned out in support of inclusivity, I carried the rainbow flag. Normally I am averse to flags but the universalism of the rainbow flag seemed most appropriate.

Targeting of the gay community is done by the far right for the same reason that other vulnerable groups are targeted. Scapegoating minorities is a classic tactic of fascism in its war of position.

With that in mind I was disappointed to have my attention drawn to an article in the Sindo from last month by Eilis O’Hanlon asking What have drag queens got to do with St Patrick?

While rarely agreeing with her I have always admired O'Hanlon's courage for swimming against the tide and unlike some of her colleagues, not resorting to the spoof to beef up her case. Yet, on this one there was no need for her to paddle downstream on the right hand side of the river.

While I think there is always a case that can be made regarding the over-sexualisation of society, feeling that with most things change should be gradual rather than rushed so that in the event of it going pear shaped the brakes will still work, my response was simple.

If they are Irish drag queens, they have as much to do with Patrick's Day any other Irish person. If they are not Irish drag queens they get the traditional welcome that other non Irish citizens get. A Patrick that embraces is much preferable to one that repels.

Out of all the things that pose a serious threat to society, a drag queen is hardly going to storm the Capitol.

Right Wing Watch 👀 Dozens of Congress Members Participate in Anti-LGBTQ Prayer Service
Kyle Mantyla
1-February-2023

Dozens of members of Congress joined an audience of religious-right activists and Christian nationalists at the Museum of the Bible this morning for a “National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance.”

Sponsored by various anti-LGBTQ religious-right groups such as the American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom, and Pacific Justice Institute, the prayer gathering was emceed by right-wing activists Jim Garlow of Well Versed, who is associated with the dominionist New Apostolic Reformation, and Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

Both Garlow and Perkins were active promoters of former President Donald Trump’s stolen election lies, with Perkins and FRC actively working to overturn the election results via pressure on state legislators, members of Congress, and former Vice President Mike Pence.

The two-and-a-half-hour event consisted of a steady stream of penitents offering prayers on behalf of this nation covering everything from reproductive choice and marriage equality to foreign policy and the media.

The tenor of the prayer service was well encapsulated by Pastor Andrew Brunson, who became a right-wing celebrity after he was freed from detention in Turkey during the Trump administration.

‘We Are Babylon’

Anthony McIntyre ☠ Beginning with the 1970 World Cup final in Mexico, as a 12 year old, I have watched every tournament.

It is a form of ritualised devotion, not unlike the observance religiously adhered to by many Catholics when they dutifully attend the Novena in Clonard Monastery year after year.

The cynic in me is bursting to say that at least my devotion is to something real. The Catholic might retort that there is not much real about this World Cup, pointing to the fraudulent way in which it was gifted to the host Qatar. The Catholic would have a point.

The following tournament I began watching as a sixteen year old teenager in Crumlin Road prison, turning 17 during it. The Netherlands lost and I was disappointed. The Dutch were the team of the competition by far.

On a couple of occasions I was taken right to the wire by the prison regime, just managing to watch the 1978 final staged in Argentina four days before I lost my political status and was delivered into the cruel custody of the H-Blocks. I knew at the time that Argentina under its military dictatorship had an atrocious human rights record and would use the event to project a benign image across the globe. I watched it anyway and rooted for the host side throughout. So engrossed was I that when the Netherlands hit the woodwork in the final, with only seconds remaining of normal time, I almost succumbed to premature heart failure.

For years after that I never saw or listened to a game of any sort, nor read a match report. All television, radio and newspapers were denied to the Blanketmen as criminals in peaked cap uniform unsuccessfully tried to force into another uniform people who were not criminals. Prison uniform would be worn by the screws, not by us.

Fortunately my sojourn on the blanket protest was sandwiched in between the Argentine and Spain finals. The 1982 tournament we watched in fits and starts. Much of it depended on whether we were out of the cells on the alternate day roster introduced by prison management post-blanket but while we were still officially Non-Conforming Prisoners. NCP was the term the regime tagged onto us and ran as a binary opposite to management's preferred prisoner, the ODCs - Ordinary Decent Criminals. The main concession was that NCPs and ODCs alike got to watch the final between Italy and West Germany.

By 1986, what we did not see we could listen to on the radio in our cells. That was my last World Cup final in prison. The highlight of the competition apart from Maradona's super goal was Pat Livingstone's response to it. He lay prostrate on his back in front of the English screw manning the gate, arms and legs moving in sync in some form of upside down doggie paddle, cackling and gloating.

I was still a prisoner for the 1990 World Cup but managed to be out on a week's parole and watched the final in the Rose and Crown pub in the Lower Ormeau Road. A disappointing Argentina were dragged into the final by the dogged determination of Maradona. But even he could not overcome the Germans on Italian turf.

With jail behind me, all future World Cup tournaments were viewed in the comfort of my own home or the pub. Since 2010 I have watched them almost exclusively in the company of my son, as avid about soccer as myself. So, when I didn't go in for today's opening game he told me he couldn't believe that I was depriving myself of a feast of football. I was told that it is what we live for during each four year cycle; it was our last chance to watch Messi and Ronaldo grace the pinnacle of world soccer; I would suffer severe withdrawal symptoms having to wait until Christmas to watch soccer again. All his cajoling failed to persuade me. I simply explained I had no interest in watching any of the Qatar games.

He is 17 so I don't expect him to closely follow the associated politics. Nor had I the remotest interest in virtue signalling to him. I am happy for him to do what he has done since he was five.

Greasing the right palms had won Qatar the right to host World Cup 2022. Much of the grease had been derived from the sweat of exploited workers who had the job of constructing the stadia and associated infrastructure. It is simply impossible to overlook:

the questions around the voting process where Qatar won its bid and the corrupt FIFA officials at their centre, the treatment of migrant workers who have allegedly died by the thousands while the stadiums were being built, and the lack of LGBTQ rights in the country.

Not watching the World Cup is like a Catholic refraining from Holy Communion after a lifetime of receiving it. I don't even know if I will stick it out - my son let me know during today's game that he missed my company. There was me thinking he would have enjoyed the quietude afforded him by the absence of a grumpy dad who sighs, effs, blinds, and shakes his fist or flips the bird in the direction of the television screen.  Surely, he cannot be experiencing invective cold turkey.

It is hard to take to a game with any enthusiasm when the same sort of institutionalised othering of gay people that is endemic in Qatar was so manifest overnight in Colorado where a gunman consumed with hatred or perhaps Christian love - if there is a difference, I am unaware of it - shot dead five people in a gay club. Qatar's state religion is Islam, which can be every bit as wedded to hate theology as US Dominionism and Christian nationalism.

If I opt to watch any games with my son, it will be because I have relented not repented. Hate theology should be given no quarter. That should have worked out as no Qatar.

No Qatar

Maryam Namazie Protesters in Cologne, Germany, were met with aggressive heckling by a group of young Muslims on September 10.

13-September-2022

A video posted by Maryam Namazie, a London-based Iranian writer and activist, showed the counter-protesters shouting “Allahu Akbar.” Namazie and her groups protested against Iran, sentencing LGBTQ activists Zahra Sedighi-Hamadani and Elham Chobdar to death.

According to Iran’s Urmia Revolutionary Court, the two were charged with “Corruption on Earth.” They were found guilty of promoting homosexuality which caused outrage in the international LGBTQ and human rights organizations.

In an interview with the Atheist Republic News Team, Namazie said she was about to give a speech when the incident happened. “I was holding an Allah is a Woman sign,” she said. It was just one of the signs that the protesters were holding.

She explained that most of the signs in the protests were in support of Zahra and Elham.

“They saw the sign, and that’s when they started shouting Allahu Akbar,” Namazie explained. The protest was held in the Domplatte, the square surrounding the Cologne Cathedral. The protesters know that there are a lot of tourists and locals passers-by, Namazie said.

We tried explaining what the protest is about, but they were more offended about the sign than about the lives that will be lost. Here are two people whose lives will be lost, and we are doing our best to save them, but they are more outraged at the sign instead of the blatant human rights abuse and oppression of the LGBTQ.

Police had to be called after one of the protesters was hit by the hecklers.

According to Namazie, she and her team are doing their best to help the activists in Iran. “We need everyone to step-up in their defense until we can have their freedom,” she said. They are doing their best to bring attention to this case and are working with other human rights and LGBTQ organizations to appeal Iran’s ruling.

Other human rights organizations quickly moved to Zahra and Elham’s defense.

6Rang, a German-based Iranian LGBTI rights group, slammed Iran’s ruling, calling it “unfair and unclear.” Shadi Amin, the group’s coordinator, said they are pressuring the German government to intervene.

“This is the first time that a woman has been sentenced to death in Iran for her sexual orientation,” Amin said.

Protest For Iranian Lesbians On Death Row Met With Allah-U-Akbar In Cologne

Gavin Casey ✒ I encountered an entity online recently who described the LGBTQ community as a ‘cult’.

They would go on to describe the ‘Fascist’ nature of said humans’ campaign for the same basic human rights which should be afforded to all. When ‘how god made’ them and ‘nature’ entered into the opposing ‘argument’ I realised there would be more point debating with one of the bullocks in my Da’s cattle shed.

I reject the idea of god but I’ve a degree in Biochemistry so I think I’ve gained something of an understanding of nature. Bigots routinely describe LGBTQ as a 'lifestyle choice' when for the most part it's a natural consequence of genetic makeup. As such LGBTQ people are no more abnormal or unnatural than blue-eyed or brown-haired people. To describe their community as a 'cult' is no different to describing brown eyed people as a cult, in my opinion.

Fundamentally, everything exhibits in spectrums. We learn about the atomic spectrum in school whereby atoms can be identified by the characteristic energy patterns of electrons. Indeed, many contributors to or readers of this site may well have become uncomfortably aware of the application of this science; particularly in the case of electron microscopes in forensic science.

Bill Hicks described reality perfectly, in my opinion, when he said: “All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration.”

The autism spectrum is something most people are familiar with - everyone is on it to a greater or lesser degree. But this is also the case with every spectrum and all natural characteristics exhibit as spectrums; hair colour, height, voice, intelligence and sexuality to name but a few. The list is all-encompassing in my perspective.

So, considering sexuality, everyone is somewhere on the spectrum on the basis of their genetic makeup. Some people are naturally, totally heterosexual while others are naturally totally homosexual. But it’s not a yes / no binary situation as many people are on the spectrum somewhere in between.

The same is true for sexual identity in that one's sex is determined by the XY chromosomes where XX is female and XY is male but it’s not that simple. Chromosomal pairing is the result of complex biochemical interactions and often this, naturally, results in pairings which are not as clearly defined. Trans people are people, no different to anyone else and equally deserving of the same human rights.

In conclusion, in my view, LGBTQ people are people born with natural human characteristics no different to hair, skin or eye colour. Progressive humans reject doctrines and ideas which discriminate against people on the basis of skin colour because such discrimination is a crime against nature and humanity. Sexual preference and identification is no different.

Sexual Discrimination Is A Crime Against Nature

National Secular SocietyThe Church of England's position on same-sex relationships should set the wheels of disestablishment in motion, says Stephen Evans.

The archbishop of Canterbury's affirmation of his church's official rejection of gay sex and same-sex marriage this week has caused much consternation. Those upset and dismayed by the move include many Anglicans who recognise the suffering this regressive position has inflicted upon gay people around the world.

The issue of homosexuality is a source of deep and bitter divisions within the Church of England. The divisions within the wider Anglican Communion are even greater. Some national Anglican churches have taken steps toward approving same-sex relationships, while others remain sharply opposed. Ninety Anglican bishops this week issued a statement seeking to affirm and celebrate LGBT+ people. Meanwhile, Ghanaian bishops have backed a proposed law that would lengthen jail terms for gay and trans people and force some to undergo so-called 'conversion therapy'.

Here, the CofE doesn't permit same-sex marriage and does not officially bless same-sex civil marriages. Gay clergy are permitted to be in relationships, so long as they remain celibate. A cruel expectation that can only fuel loneliness, longing and, presumably, some lying.

Lynx By Ten To The Power Of Three Hundred And Thirteen

Hemant Mehta  The Archdiocese won’t participate in the National School Lunch Program so it can keep discriminating against LGBTQ kids.

The Archdiocese of St. Louis has told leaders at all its Catholic schools to start charging kids for food, letting them know they should stop participating in the government’s National School Lunch Program which provides free meals to children across the country.

The reason? If they continue using those government funds, they might have to follow the government’s rules prohibiting anti-LGBTQ discrimination, and the Catholic Church believes perpetuating bigotry is more important than feeding kids.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch got ahold of a memo sent to Catholic school leaders in the area:

“Due to changes in the interpretation of the Civil Rights Act, the non-discrimination statements for these programs has changed significantly,” reads the memo, sent by General Counsel Tom Buckley.

Schools that receive funds from the USDA would be required to adhere to the policies of these programs. The changes in these policies would be problematic for schools and programs of the Archdiocese to fully live out the mission of our Catholic Church.

Bible Baptist Academy wanted nothing to do with Zoey because her new parents are both women.

A Baptist school in Louisiana kicked out a child who was about to enter kindergarten because she was recently adopted by lesbians.

It’s the latest example of Christian love in action.

The story is even more tragic when you realize what the child has been through. Five-year-old Zoey already lost both of her biological parents, with her father dying in an industrial accident in 2020. Thankfully, her aunt, Jennifer Parker, took her in, and the adoption became official earlier this month. Zoey had already taken pre-K classes at Bible Baptist Academy in DeQuincy, Louisiana, so the plan was to continue there for kindergarten.

But last week, just days before the school year began, and after the family attended open house and Zoey got her uniform, Jennifer and her partner Emily were told their new daughter was being kicked out… because the two of them are lesbians.

Right Wing WatchMembers of the Conservative Action Project, a far right-wing network that supported former President Donald Trump’s efforts to stay in office after his 2020 election defeat, are demanding that Congress reject legislation protecting the freedom to marry.

Peter Montgomery

So are the anti-equality Alliance Defending Freedom and leaders of dozens of other religious-right groups.

The Respect for Marriage Act passed the House of Representatives on July 19 with the support of about one-quarter of House Republicans, reflecting the reality that more than 70 percent of Americans—including a majority of Republicans—support the freedom of same-sex couples to get married. More than 90 percent of Americans support marriage rights for interracial couples, who are also protected under the legislation.

But religious-right leaders hostile to legal equality for LGBTQ people were angry that the bill received bipartisan support. They have refused to recognize the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling as legitimate, and they have been emboldened by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s call for the court to overturn rulings recognizing and protecting the rights of LGBTQ people and same-sex couples the way it overturned Roe v. Wade.

Right Wing WatchMark Burns, an unabashed Christian nationalist MAGA pastor who is running for Congress in South Carolina, declared that if he is elected, he will reinstate the House Un-American Activities Committee so that the government can “start executing people” guilty of treason.

Who does Burns believe is guilty of treason? Republican Sens. Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham whose supposed crime is potentially supporting some gun control measures, and LGBTQ-supporting parents and teachers.

During an appearance on “The Stew Peters Show” Wednesday, Burns was asked by guest host Lauren Witzke what he would do to fight “LGBTQ indoctrination” if elected to Congress. Burns replied that the LGBTQ agenda represents “a national security threat” and therefore anyone promoting it is guilty of treason and should be executed.

“I vote to make sure that those parents be held for child abuse,” Burns said. “There is no such thing as trans kids, there are only abusive parents who are pushing that evil, evil sexual orientation onto their child’s mind.”

“I want to make sure that those parents have been held accountable,” he continued.

MAGA Candidate Mark Burns Says Those Promoting ‘LGBTQ Indoctrination’ Should Be Executed For Treason

National Secular Society ✒ School inspectorate Ofsted has criticised the Catholic Church for forcing a school to cancel a talk by a gay children's author.

In a letter to the John Fisher School in Croydon, Ofsted said the Archdiocese of Southwark's actions had "unnerved and upset many in the school community".

The letter follows a snap inspection of the school in March prompted by the diocese's actions.

Simon James Green, an award-winning children's author, had been invited by school leaders to visit John Fisher School in March to talk about his career.

But the diocese, which oversees the Catholic secondary school for boys, called on leaders to cancel the visit because it fell "outside the scope of what is permissible in a Catholic school".

Its intervention followed a campaign by the website Catholic Truth and an email from the school's chaplain to parents protesting the talk.

The school's governing body voted in favour of the leaders' decision not to cancel the visit. In response, the diocese sacked school governors supportive of Green.

The diocese intended to replace the governing body with an interim executive board (IEB), but Sutton Council found that this did not comply with the law.

Inspectors Criticise Catholic Church For Banning Gay Author’s School Talk

Humanists UK has expressed its outrage after the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark reportedly banned a celebrated LGBT author from making educational visits to two state-funded Catholic schools.

Simon James Green is the author of 11 children’s books, and his work has been nominated for numerous awards, including the Carnegie Medal and the Blue Peter Book Award.

Once it became aware of a planned World Book Day visit by Mr Green to a Catholic secondary school in Croydon, the Archdiocese intervened, overruling the school leadership who had been more than happy for the visit to take place, and sacking several of the governors who tried to object. In a statement, Dr Simon Hughes, Director of Education at the Archdiocese said:

From time to time materials or events emerge for consideration that fall outside the scope of what is permissible in a Catholic school . . . The book-signing event scheduled for 7 March 2022 at The John Fisher School, Purley is one such event and we have recommended that the school’s leaders cancel it.

The school chaplain also opposed the decision of the school’s leadership.

Right Wing Watch  ✒ Mark Robinson Says Straight Relationships Are ‘Superior’ Because Homosexuality Serves No Purpose.

Kyle Mantyla

North Carolina’s radically Christian nationalist Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson spoke at Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, earlier this month, where he once again went on an anti-LGBTQ rant while preaching, openly declaring that straight relationships are “superior” to gay relationships.

“I can’t stand to turn that TV on and I don’t want my grandkids watching that television because I don’t want to have to explain to my grandkids why two men are kissing,” Robinson said, “And I don’t care what anybody thinks about that. Get mad at me if you want to you. Ain’t no child got no business seeing no two men kiss. If they did, God would have made it that way! He didn’t!”

Robinson then declared that cow manure proves that “everything that God made serves a purpose” regardless of “how ugly it is” and that homosexuality serves no purpose because it was not made by God.

“Will somebody please explain to me the purpose of homosexuality?” he said.

National Secular SocietyAn independent faith school has failed an inspection after a book calling for gay people to be killed was found in its library.

The book, entitled Islam on Homosexuality, was discovered during an Ofsted inspection at Institute of Islamic Education, an independent Islamic school in Dewsbury, in May.

The book said "participants of the homosexual act should be slained [sic]" because "in filth and mischief of [sic] this act surpasses adultery", according to an Ofsted report published today.

It also said "the evil doers should be put to death".

The book had been stamped by the school as a library book.

A book with the same title (pictured) is described on Amazon UK as an "authentic book on the evils of Homosexuality containing discussion in the light of the Quran, Hadith, History and medicine".

While the headteacher said the book should not be in the school library, other leaders stated that the book was for 'research purposes', according to the report.

The report said: "By permitting this book to be freely accessible to pupils, leaders are failing to promote respect and tolerance for others, a fundamental British value."

Right-wing pastor Andrew Wommack used Monday night’s episode of his “Truth & Liberty Livecast” to declare that gay people should be required to “put a label across their forehead,” declaring that homosexuality “can be hazardous to your health.”

Wommack’s guest on the program was religious-right activist Janet Porter. While discussing the anti-LGBTQdocumentary” she released a few years ago, Porter eventually turned the discussion to Caitlyn Jenner’s run for governor in California.

“I’m praying for Bruce Jenner, who goes by ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner,” Porter said. “I’m praying against the suicide that happens with people that engage in this kind of thing. It’s very, very sad.”

“Homosexuals have like three times as much suicide as heterosexuals, and then you go into transgenders, and it just continues to go up,” Wommack replied.

“It’s a very destructive lifestyle. They have 20 years less that the homosexual lives than a heterosexual. And, you know, cigarettes take an average of seven years off of a person’s life, so homosexuality is three times worse than smoking. We ought to put a label across their forehead, ‘This can be hazardous to your health.'
