Danny Bradley shares his views on British perfidy.

On the 11th December 2017 the inquest of Vol. Seamus Bradley will begin in Derry courts and run to the 22nd. So at this time I would like to share a thought.

You see, we all know that the British have a method which is divide and conquer, and they done that in 1969 with the Official IRA and the Provisional IRA. And it was very cleverly done. We all remember 1969 and we all remember the famous words that were written on the gable wall:

"YOU ARE NOW ENTERING FREE DERRY"

And you will not forget the sandbag and the Official IRA check point. You see this disturbed Brian Faulkner and other unionists. So from 1969 to August 71, they put severe pressure on the British government to take down the barricades and clear the path. In that time there weren't many Official and Provisional IRA in Derry or Belfast. So the British government came up with a plan and that plan worked and I will share how.

In 1971 the British army sent in their elite soldiers, the paratroopers.

1/ These soldiers are like the American Seals trained to kill so they were sent into a staunch republican area and behold Gerry Adams lived in that area. Within 2 days they killed 11 people and the Provisional IRA grew from just over 100 to well over 1500. Then, the same elite soldiers moved to Derry, another republican stronghold this time where Martin Mc Guinness lived. And on the 30th January 1972 they killed 13 people "Bloody Sunday." And behold, over 2000 people joined the IRA.

But what I can't understand with so many people joining the Provisional IRA at that time, 6 months later June 26th Mc Guinness, Adams, McStiofain, Bell an Irish lawyer whose name was not given, had talks about a cease fire. But at the same time 1st Feb. 1972 British soldiers were getting trained to attack Northern Ireland and break down the barricades.

On the 4th to the 10th of July Ted Heath, Whitelaw and other cabinet ministers met with British army and army intelligence, where they were shown a blueprint of Operation Carcan which later became known as Operation Motorman. At the same meeting Ted Heath, William Whitelaw and MPs signed a document which included article J giving the soldiers permission to shoot and kill with no fear of repercussions.

Three days later, on July 13th, the secret talks between the British government and the IRA collapsed. Behold eight days later on the 21st Bloody Friday happened. And then three days later 24th July we have the Folklore operation which we also associate with Operation Carcan operation Motorman].

On the 31st July 1972 the British government achieved their goal by demolishing all the barricades and taking over Free Derry. A child would understand what I am sharing and these are all facts. If you search you will get them in google. And I must ask the question: were all these people killed so that the barricades of Free Derry be brought down to please Brian Faulkner? If that is true then this man has blood on his hands that of his own people and nationalists. Other people too have blood on their hands.

  1. As someone who grew up in the Bogside, it would appear that the British policy of unionist appeasement is still alive and well very recently illustrated with the DUP's 'influence' over Stage 1 of Brexit- albeit no blood was spilled on this occasion (yet).
