Jacobin 2016 Launch In Belfast This Evening

Prominent American left-wing magazine Jacobin is to launch a special 1916 issue tonight, Monday evening in the Black Box pub, Belfast.

The launch will feature Jacobin's editor, Bhaskar Sunkara, a prominent supporter of US Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. 

People Before Profit councillor Gerry Carroll and author Tommy McKearney will also speak.

If you were interested Bhaskar Sunkara will be available for interviews throughout the day and on the evening itself.

Jacobin 1916 will focus on a people's history of Ireland's revolutionary period - looking at the era from the perspective of women, workers and those seeking a fundamentally different social order.

Doors open at 7pm, the event is free and doesn't need pre-registration, but attendees are advised to arrive early.

Sunkara has a very bad track record with women and has even lied about women and to women writers. Beware of making this person out to be anything other than another leftist misogynist.
