Dublin 1916 Societies Monthly Public Talk Upcoming Next Weekend

A 1916 Societies hosted talk this Saturday in Dublin.

The Seán Heuston Society Dublin will be holding another educational talk and Q&A, with Major John MacBride the topic this month. John MacBride was one of the sixteen 1916 Martyrs, who faced execution after the Rising and led an extremely interesting life, which included taking part in the Boer War.

Giving the talk this time will be esteemed historian Donal Fallon, a regular on Newstalk radio station, always giving a unique insight into the various periods of Irish history. Donal will be releasing a book on the man himself shortly so we hope to have some on sale on the day. Once the talk is over as always there will be a Q&A with the host.

The talk will be held in the National History Museum (formerly Collins Barracks) on Saturday October 24th at 1.30pm. All welcome. For more information contact us on Facebook or Twitter. Alternatively you can get in touch through this site.
