Guest writer Gerry O'Halloran is asking questions of Danny Morrison about double standards.
Danny Morrison is on the campaign trail.

It looks like Danny has a problem with his view of the Falls Park being spoiled and could be troubled by those annoying flood lights and extra traffic that some of these pitch projects bring.

Perhaps now Danny will have some empathy with the residents in Andersonstown  having a huge 32,000 seater thrust on them, blocking out their light, annoying them with flood lights and the extra traffic this venue will bring to the whole of West Belfast.

It looks like some of the residents of Glassmullin don't want flood lights and extra traffic in their area either. The residents opposed to the upgrading and extension of this pitch on to their green have formed a group FOGOG (Friends of Glasmullin Open Green) and issued a news letter which can be found here They have also been texting the ATN about their cause.

Upon hearing that there is to be a public consultation process about the Falls Park pitch someone asked Danny Morrison what was the difference between Glassmullin Green and the Falls Park. It's obvious what the difference is - accusing not only Danny but others of double standards!

So what is the difference Danny? Is it that you are at the forefront of the Falls Park pitch due to your view being spoilt or will the Glassmullin residents get their say? I would urge the residents of Glassmullin and any other area to show up at 6.30 pm on Tuesday 23 September in the bowling pavilion. Now is your chance to ask why there is preferential treatment or are Danny's views more important than the rest in the Sinn Fein insistence that we are all equal?

  1. This is drawing a big number of readers Gerry. People fed up with the incessant lying and hypocrisy perhaps.
