Sandy Boyer reporting from New York city on what Radio Free Eireann is serving up this weekend.

Radio Free Eireann will interview Anthony McIntyre, the lead interviewer on the Belfast Project, on the fallout from the arrest of Ivor Bell, allegedly on the basis of a Belfast Project interview, on Saturday April 5 at 1pm New York time.

The former Sinn Fein mayor of Derry labelled the Belfast Project a "touting" (informing) programme.

We will also talk to Malachy McCourt on the 50th anniversary of Brendan Behan's death.

Radio Free Eireaann is heard on WBAI 99.5 FM and wbai.org on the web where the show is archived for 10 days. We broadcast live from Rocky Sullivan's of Red Hook, 34 Van Dyke Street in Brooklyn.

  6. I was listening there to what John said about the iPhone 5 and how he can listen now to RTE all the way over there in New York City and how the world now is so connected up. A few years back I was in Easons and read a magazine about how to get the most out of your computer. It said most computers have programmes users don't know about and one of them is 'recorder', you simply go to the big start button and push it and a search box comes up at the bottom of the list and if you search for recorder it comes up. Anyway it allows your computer to record anything you are listening to on it and I used to record radio free and listen to it over time as then they only kept their shows for 7 days. I'm thinking it would save your transcriber an awful lot of work if they recorded the shows like this and then uploaded it on to your blog or indeed to your you tube account. It's a WMV file and that uploads to you tube within minutes.

It was a good show today. Loved the bit about Behan, and a very passionate interview from yourself.
