Was contemplating the Norway social system....wonder why the USA hasn't invaded Norway. That kind of social logic usually has the land of the 'free' going all Nazi like!

It's the same over here Scotland's north sea resources are in the hands of American companies only Aberdeen benefits from natural resources. Glasgow deprivations is as bad as Belfast. Agree with David here,we seem to have lost the will to stand up for ourselves, as for Aberdeen it is indeed still booming,I,m there fairly often and its fair to say that those companies based there attached to the oil industry are more than well set up to assist in the rape of this country,s natural resource,its a fucking disgrace that the potential economic benefits from the new found oil fields of the Cork coast will never see the light of day in Ireland,its said that its more than likely that not one barrel of oil will land on Irish soil. so to finish on an Irish joke (not funny) we will pay over the odds for imported Irish petrol just as we do with Egyptian spuds grown in Irish peat.
thanks TPQ for putting this up. we (well most of us who enjoy TPQ) are republicans. we have to defend the republic of ireland established in 1916 first and foremost. ireland her own and all therein from the sod to the sky as was once said. i have found myself ranting and raving too much over the last few months about the betrayal of core republican values by the psf to the extent that i feel im wasting a lot of energy on the whole sorry saga of our betrayal and demonisation by the so called republican movement. This is just a personal comment to the TPQers whose cyber company i enjoy and value. i feel i shud find a cause that i feel i have something to contribute to. i have given up on party politics and whod blame me. There are some good things happening at grassroots level in this country that i feel we can all give something to. The common law society, Own our oil-shell to sea, anti-frackers, misneach irish language group, natural farming and medicine groups, independent/alternative media websites etc etc etc. Yes it is awful what has happened to the 'republican movement' over the last few decades and we have every right to be upset/fuming/driven demented by things but i honestly feel we should let that corrupt stalinist mafia implode of its own volition. it is a house of cards and it will not stay standing under the weight of lies that is needed to keep it 'functioning'. things have been getting worse and weirder lately and it is truly shocking what has happened to our former comrades and friends. however I do have enough faith in grassroots people especially in the six counties to move away from them and some of the good people in east tyrone are doing just that or so my tyrone mole tells me (i am down here in the shoneen stronghold of galway town.) There are loads of talented able independent republicans like the tpqers out there and i hope we can all find something to put our energies into. i am giving up ranting for the rest of lent and longer hopefully and am making an effort to get more involved with this resource struggle that is going on. i hope some of you check out the great website this - own our oil - crowd have. everything the anti-treaty debaters said back in the day has come to pass but only worse than those sovereign minded patriots could have ever imagined. but we cant give up. marty - the really sad and shameful thing about this is that it was not so much the theft of our natural resources as the giving away of them. ray burke, charlie haughey and bertie ahern were some of the main players involved (midnight helicopter flights by oilmen and ray burke to charlie haughey's island inisvickilaune - u cudnt make it up). they are total fuc*ing shameless scumbags but the really sad thing is they will be voted for time and time again. larry - i think we should head over there to norway, maybe they have a lisdoonvarna type of match making festival over there. lovely girls in that video altogether. and once again thanks anthony for putting up vid.
