Not even a blizzard will stop Radio Free Eireann from broadcasting live this Saturday, February 15th, from 1-2 pm New York time as we attempt to raise funds to keep WBAI and Radio Free Eireann on the air.
We will feature an interview with Eamon Loinsigh, the author of Light of the Dididcoy, the acclaimed new novel about Irish immigrant gangs on the Brooklyn waterfront in the early years of the 20th Century. Peter Quinn, the author of Banished Children of Eve, has called Light of the Diddicoy 'a rich and rollicking tale of immigrant struggle and ethnic conflict that brings to life the lost world of New York's waterfront.'
