Cruel & Contemptible

There follows a statement from the family of Marian Price McGlinchey.

We have received news that Marian's application for compassionate parole following the tragic death of her sister Dolours has been refused, despite her being granted bail earlier today.

Given Marian's current health issues it is laughable that she would pose any kind of security or flight risk. We feel this decision is nothing more than a continuance of a vicious and vindictive campaign on the part of the Prison Service, the Department of Justice and the British secretary of state along with M15 to destroy Marian both physically and mentally.

We would urge all right thinking people to utterly condemn this blatant breach of Marian's fundamental human rights.

  2. Absolutely unbelievable! Not surprised though. Her sister! I watched “Braveheart” last night and what William Wallace said in that, never trust the English!

  3. Anthony; 'they have learned nothing'

And neither have we if any of us are surprised by this. What the Brits won't do to break us knows no bounds. The hateful, blood-drenched bastards, may they rot in hell.

  4. Complete Bastards, if I’m not mistaken, there were a few loyalists given bail when they were charged with murder. Then, the idiots wonder why young men and women join what they call “dissident” groups! I for one, don’t believe in “armed struggle” anymore, but, I can understand people that do, especially after you see something like this!

  5. Belfastgit,

was thinking exactly the same myself. They are slowly but surely stripping away the moral inhibitors against the use of political violence. Vindictive, vicious and stupid.

  6. AM,
Pretty spot on there. They can put no point of spin on this, it is pure arrogance and vindictiveness with a evil dragonian undercurrent. They will be exposed to the world for this, not that the world has anything new to learn about the british establishment.

  7. James,

have a read at Cruel Britannia by Ian Cobain. A brilliant piece of work nailing the Brits.

  8. Words couldn't cover what anger this decision has caused but the Brits know republicans would not react well and that really begs the question, as to why?. We know how calculated and analytical the Brits are. This I am sorry to say appears much more than vindictiveness. Smells like bait, in that it will be viewed in many circles as an escalation, reclaiming of a war posture and patrizan approach which does not favour nationalists. Are the Brits playing to the loyalist cries of injustice?. Why are they twisting the knife?.

Probably like you, (although your eldest seems to be around 9, Firriné if I‘m not mistaken, probably am though!). I have a grown up family. My youngest is 14 years of age, my eldest is 28, I’m trying to calm them down when they see on tv the way the cops deal with “loyalist” “protesters”, the anger they feel is palpable! I’ve told them, join fuck all, because the “leaders” will sell you out!

  10. Belfastgit,

she is 12 next month. I want them to join nothing but could you bet against it when they watch the type of thing that is going on today?

  11. Feel te love; 'smells like bait'

I agree with that. And a pipebomb has just been launched at cops. Great way to detract from everything that's going on now.

Where are the elected reps of nationalists? Where is Gerry Kelly, the sisters' 'comrade'? Their voices were loud enough when Padraic Wilson was arrested so where are they now?

  12. Unfortunatly she was never going to be given compassionate leave/bail/parole. I believe that Mi5 decided long ago (I mean when she recieved her royal pardon) that given the first opportunity they'll lock her up and throw away the key. In effect thats what they've done

I said a while back on the TPQ that there is a real chance of Marian dying in prison. Marty said something along the lines "Frankie, republicans don't need another martyr"..it doesn't, but thats what the British want to deliver as some sort of twisted sick slap in the face to Irish republicans.

What Belfastgit said (it'sjustmackers has said several times), the British want the troubles back as a training ground for their armed forces (Iraq & Afghan are being wound up). And the way they are playing with Marians life and SF paying lip service, it's going to get harder to pull angry republicans from the brink or stopping anyone 'signing up' to any of the armed republican groups..

Anthony you hit the nail on the head, they haven't learnt a thing in 800/900yrs..

No, I wouldn’t bet against it. I have been talking to young people in the area where I come from, and the resounding answer I’ve got (that’s the young people I’ve been talking to) is that nothing has changed here. A few of them were considering going to Australia or Canada, I told them to go, and stay there as there’s fuck all for them here! I know these kids, and they would fall into the same trap as thousands before them did, you know, join us, we’ll unite Ireland! The problem is, they see on tv, face book, and the likes of twitter the things that we seen as injustices that were perpetrated against us and fought back against and I for one don’t want these kids caught up in it! I want them to have a life!

  14. Barrabhroy Mc grory stood in front of the cameras this afternoon and said the evidence supplied by assisting offender turned tout Neil Hyde" was insufficient to provide a reasonable prospect of obtaining a conviction against any individual"this is in relation to the murder of journalist Martin O Hagan, this is after years of investigation, the police and the dpp would have been well aware of lack of evidence and would have been in a position to trawl for even more with the dogs in the street barking the names of those who were involved, however we watched the spectacle once again how inept the dpp and those investigating this murder seem to be, Barrabhroy was sorry but c,est le vie hey folks we tried, now reflect the determination he showed in pursuing Marian after the Derry case was dropped, lvf murderers can walk because they probably are state agents,BarraBhroy is a credit to all castle catholics and asslickers his role in the vindictive pursuit of this woman should be noted and hopefully the day will come when he and others will be brought to account for what I think can only be described as collaborationist crimes against this community

  17. sadly, I have to say, although I never posted it upon the sad news of Dolours untimely death, This was a foregone conclusion , This is what the British think they are good at, "Mental Torture", "Deprivation".
They will do whatever it takes to make Marian worse, Sadly at the moment, the only advice I could give to Marian would be, "Do not let them see you are furious, Let them think you are taking it like a pinch of salt, That will rile them to the core, Psychological warfare works both ways, and that is what they are using, if they ask you questions or insult you, Just say, "What happens, happens", that will get them seriously thinking and fire more questions at you, That's when you remain silent, in that way, you have turned the tables on them, and, May they rot in hell. In the 1970s I stated, Hit them were it hurts, the financial institutions on the British mainland", which was Marians and the late Dolours downfal, along with the others, what went wrong?, they all were on the same plane on the way back to Beller!!, that was very bad planning. I was told "You must be crackers", Believe me, I am Far From it. Why blow up our own country!!. With today's British agents (touts, scum of the earth) planted everywhere, serious ops within the 6 counties are next to zero!!, to beat the British, you have to think like them, act like them, and , do what they do. Marian a cara, we are born to suffer, I remember saying to myself, "WHY ME", then I released I wasn't the only one, that made me pick a spot on the wall and focus on it!!. Peace be with you in your hour of grief and pick a spot on the wall and blank them out.
